Promoting Sustainable Education and Development Around the World
MIDEC, under the leadership of the University of Minnesota in partnership with Miske Witt & Associates, was funded by CARE-USA to evaluate the development of leadership skills of marginalized girls through two programs in eight countries.
MIDEC partner Miske Witt and Associates worked with implementation partners Save the Children and the Malawi Institute of Education (MIE) on a three-year initiative funded by USAID/Malawi in collaboration with the Malawi Government to help improve the professional skills of primary school teachers at the pre-service and in-service levels.
Faculty from the University of Minnesota’s department of Organizational Leadership, Policy and Development have been awarded over $3.4 million dollars from The MasterCard Foundation to assess the overall impact of non-formal and formal educational initiatives on out- of-school and marginalized youth.
Seward Incorporated, with support from MIDEC partners at the University of Minnesota and Miske Witt & Associates, designed, developed, delivered, and evaluated the pilot of a comprehensive principal leadership program for Oman. The success of the pilot resulted in a national implementation of the training.
UNICEF Macedonia partnered with Seward Incorporated and MIDEC to assess the overall inclusiveness of education in Macedonia.
MIDEC partner Seward Incorporated is currently involved in a three-year USAID-funded project to assist the Malawi Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) with teacher education support and systems management. MIDEC partners from the University of Minnesota and Miske, Witt and Associates participated as consultants.
